What ShredMode does
ShredMode is an iPhone app for calorie tracking, macro tracking, meal logging, training activity logging, and progress monitoring. It is designed around a local-first model so your app data remains available on-device as the primary source of truth.
The app is built to make everyday logging fast and practical, while still supporting more advanced features like AI-assisted food logging, optional Google Drive backup and existing iCloud recovery, camera-based food scan flows, Apple Health integration, and live heart-rate workout sessions.

After you allow sharing, ShredMode can send selected food and workout inputs through Quietfield servers to OpenAI for estimates. Native 1.1 supports AI without a Google account.
Google Drive backup is optional and user-controlled. Native 1.1 preserves recovery and deletion of existing iCloud copies but does not create new iCloud backups.
With permission, native ShredMode reads steps, requested body mass, and heart rate during recording. Workouts recorded here can be saved to Apple Health.
Built with a local-first approach
ShredMode is designed so your core app data lives on your device first. Connecting external services is optional and limited to specific features. We do not position the product as cloud-first or sync-first.
